CAMPER AGES: 5-12
TYPE OF CAMP: Day Camp. Weekly programs, full and half day, 7-8 different themes
CAMPER GENDER(S): Coed Campers.
BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Mad Science summer camps and vacation programs give kids the opportunity to learn about science through our interactive and hands-on science activities. Our summer science programs let children become junior scientists for the summer and embark on a series of science adventures!
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Science, Technology, and more. Robotics.
CAMP LOCATION: Our programs operate throughout Western New England in Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut. There are also a few programs in Southern Vermont and - coming soon - Worcester County. Programs are typically held at and sponsored by partner agencies such as area parks and rec, schools and community centers.
CAMP FACILITIES: Our programs operate in a classroom environment with room for multiple tables to facilitate cooperative inquiry-based hands-on learning. Most of our locations are air-conditioned if indoors. Typically we also have an outdoor area available for outside activities.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Children will be amazed when they:
-Discover cool chemical reactions
-Build rockets and participate in their launch
-Check out security systems, cool spy equipment, and funky forensic tools that are used in real crime scene labs
-Build their very own working robot and get to take it home

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Mad Science offers fun science Birthday Parties, After-School Programs, Preschool Programs, In-Class Workshops, Stage Shows and discovery centers year 'round. We come to you!

Typically operates all weeks between the end of the school year and the week before Fall school start.
