BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: MMA offers five excellent summer programs for young people.
1. Academic Camps for Grades 7-12 (Boys and Girls) (Girls may only be enrolled as Day Students, sorry boarding is only available for Boys)
2. Confidence Camp for Boys Ages 8-11
3. Leadership Camp for Young Men Ages 12-17
From paintball to rappelling, archery to camp-outs, rope courses to rifle marksmanship to team building exercises, MMA Summer Programs have something for everyone. Students leave with more than new friendships and memories of a great time–they take with the leadership experience and a new or renewed sense of self-confidence.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Weightloss, Horses/Equestrian, Swimming, Team Sports, Math, Science, Academics, Adventure, and more. Camp Core Credit (Grades 7-8)

CAMP LOCATION: MMA is located on 288 acres in Mexico, Missouri, a small town of only 11,000 residents. The Mexico community is large enough to support necessities such as health care and retail shopping and small enough to create a safe environment for young people. Mexico is approximately 1.5 – 2 hours from the city of St. Louis, 2.5 hours from Kansas City and 45 minutes from Columbia, home of the University of Missouri.
CAMP FACILITIES: The Missouri Military Academy campus offers four residence halls, an academic complex, a gymnasium, natatorium, field house, athletic fields, stables, a chapel and 100+ acres of outdoor areas that are perfect for boys and young men to exercise and have fun. Tour our campus.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Each summer Missouri Military Academy welcomes young people to our Summer Camps and Workshops from across the country to train, compete and learn in our state of the art military and recreational facilities. Our military summer school experience is a rewarding opportunity for young people to learn leadership skills and to improve on their academics. Join other campers from around Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Iowa, Oklahoma and Texas and make the most of your summer! MMA offers five excellent summer programs for young people.
1. Academic Camps for Grades 7-12 (Boys) (Girls may only be enrolled as Day Students, sorry boarding is only available for Boys) MMA offers structured, success-oriented academic programs during the summer to enrich, educate and inspire young people and improve their confidence. *Camp Credit for Boys and Girls Grades 9-12 Our for-credit academic camp allows students to earn credit while simultaneously honing their subject knowledge and study skills. Courses are small to allow teachers to work closely with each student, maximizing their experience. Camp Credit is designed especially for high school students wishing to take a makeup or enrichment course. The afternoons and weekends offer opportunities for students to relax and to participate in activities that reinforce their confidence and academic focus. Students build academic skills as well as friendships and self-confidence. A guided study hall takes place nearly every evening with camp faculty present to assist with study time and homework. Both boys and girls are welcome in each of the camps however we will limit the enrollment of girls to that of a day or commuter student, no boarding. Available courses (students choose one): Algebra I Algebra II Biology I Chemistry English I English II Geometry Spanish *Camp Core Skills for Boys and Girls Grades 7-8 This integrated approach to education covers key academic skills and knowledge in math, science and reading. Students are taught using the best methods for middle school-aged students, engaging them in hands-on, interactive projects throughout the day. After class and on weekends, students are involved in fun activities that challenge their abilities. An evening guided study hall is conducted under the supervision of a teacher who can also assist students with their work. Fun Activities at the MMA Academic Camps: Participants in both of the Academic Camps enjoy an afternoon activity every day after school that include: Soccer Horseback Riding Swimming Field Trips Paintball Basketball SCUBA Physical Fitness Weight Training Flag Football Tennis
2. Confidence Camp for Boys Ages 8-11 Our Summer Confidence Camp has something for everyone and it is accredited by the American Camp Association. Plus, boys leave with more than new friendships and memories of a great time – they take with them leadership experience and a new sense of self-confidence. Session One: July 6-12, 2015 Session Two: July 12-18, 2015 Tuition: $960.00 per session (Attendees may enroll for both sessions) MMA’s Confidence Camp helps boys 8-11 develop a sense of pride in themselves and their accomplishments. Focusing on good decision-making and teamwork exercises, the one-week program rewards young men for their progress. Two one-week options are available.
3. Leadership Camp for Young Men Ages 12-17 Young men ages 12-17 find new challenges at the two-week Leadership Camp. The program teaches boys to follow as well as to lead, as it helps them to understand the benefits and responsibilities of being a leader. Physical training helps participants unlock their potential, and team-building courses help them to work better alongside their peers. This camp is accredited by the American Camp Association and adheres to their high standards. MMA Summer Camps have something for everyone. Plus, boys leave with more than new friendships and memories of a great time – they take with them leadership experience and a new sense of self-confidence. Young men ages 12-17 find new challenges at the two-week Leadership Camp. The program teaches boys to follow as well as to lead, as it helps them to understand the benefits and responsibilities of being a leader. Physical training helps participants unlock their potential, and team-building courses help them to work better alongside their peers. The camp has an active schedule that includes: Daily physical training Paintball Rappelling Rifle marksmanship Pugil sticks Swimming Knot tying Leadership Reaction Course First aid training with certification High ropes Climbing Wall Map reading
